Opel Tech 2 Unlocking

    Hey all,

    Mate of mine has a 08 Opel Astra Sportive Diesel that he's been told can have additional features "unlocked" such as cruise control, trip computer functions etc. He tried Ferrybank Opel but no joy.

    Anyone in the Wexford/South East area have any ideas and maybe the software to do it?

    Try some of the Opel owners clubs. They may be able to offer some advice on which models are equipped with such features.

    There are no features you can unlock with Tech 2 really. Anything the vehicle has will be programmed already. The only thing you can do is to add cruise control by replacing the indicator stalk and then you can reprogram the CIM (steering column module) to get it to work. I have the software but am in Dublin.

    I have a 2012 Opel Astra GTC and the onboard computer is limited to trip distance that's all. I read on the Astra Owners Club UK forum that all other options could be unlocked as long as you have the right display. It seems that mine has the right display but I need someone that could do this for me. Could you do it or recommend someone to me please...

    Have you tried op-com, it is cheap and for opel seems to have a lot of functions. I have never tried it on an opel but on a Saab, only for a saab all it can do is read the modules. Tech 2 systems are expensive and hard to find outside of a dealership.
