APN problem

i'm trying to fix my APN settings on my unrooted HTC desire. i'm on vodafone and the last 3 mms i've gotten i've had to go online on my laptop to see. i get 'the application setings (process.com.android.settings has stopped unexpectedly. please try again) any ideas?

I had that problem and downloaded an app called APN Backup & Restore. It let me delete all my APNs so I could set them up again
