Mushroom I.D. please

    Hi all,

    Does anybody here know what type of mushroom this guy is. Spotted it out my mums back garden today. Its bright greeny-blue! I'm not sure if it is gone mouldy or if that is its normal colour.

    That's a Stropharia species you have there. There's a few of them with the blue-green colouration, but based on habitat and the relative abundance of the species, it's almost certainly Stropharia caerulea (Blue roundhead). Lots of guidebooks include the very similar S. aeruginosa rather than S. caerulea, but this is apparently based on a misconception of their relative abundance.
