If your watching it on tv with commentary, can't you hear the ref nowadays anyway?

If you have to also listen to a certain commentator. 'nuff said.

Yes but you don't hear everything he says as the broadcaster can control it. Also with ref link (and I am open to correction here) you can also hear the AR input.

its actually seems more in sync. the tv seems to be about 10 secs or so behind the radio feed

I'm hearing the ref about 20 seconds after the tv.. Odd!

I was trying to use it at the match - disaster! A good 10-15 seconds delay :(

Why would you want to hear Owens or Barnes puffing and panting during the whole match anyway? The ref link seems to be a faulty piece of technology, they're always having problems with it.

Weird, was a second and a half or two seconds behind watching RTE on Sky, watching on regular terrestrial analogue it was spot-on. Though 2 minutes of that ref was more than enough for me.
