    Hi.

I'm just about to book at 2 week holiday, flying into Bangkok and flying out of Kuala Lumpur. February 5th to 19th.

Just wondering if anyone has any last minute tips. This looks like a good time of year to go weather wise. From what I can see from researching, there could be a bit of rain on one side of Malaysia that time of year, but it doesn't look too bad so it won't bother me.

Also, any tips on what not to miss in the 2 weeks would be appreciated!

    Cheers.

    Hi there,

I'm about to book the same holiday for April - what have you decided in the end? Where are you going and how are you travelling?

    Cheers!

If your staying in Kuala Lumpur check out in Traders hotel if your looking for a few night accomadation. Great rooms and restaurants and has a pool with bar on the roof. It is right across from the Petronas towers aswell.

    Hey.

I've literally just booked a hostel for the first 2 nights when I arrive there. Apart from that I have done no planning :D

When I get there I'll investigate further and make sure I avoid any chance of bad weather. Have done some small research and have a list of places I'd like to visit, but like I said - I'l just play it by ear.

    Cheers.

Don't worry about the weather. It could be pissing for a couple of hours but you could still nearly go out in shorts and t-shirt as the heat dries you quickly.

re Kuala Lumpur, try and stay in Bukit Bintang as opposed to Chinatown. The latter has feck all. The former has enough bright lights, shopping, street food to keep you interested but all in all, I wouldn't stay more than 2 nights in KL. Big, but not too much to do.

In 2 weeks, with that distance to cover, I'd just concentrate on the Thai islands and enjoy the party scene and beaches there.

2 weeks is a very short time over there, especially after jet lag etc.
