    Hey folks,

Looking for the following appliances and so far I'm leaning towards the brands listed. Can anyone steer me in the right direction? I haven't a clue to be honest.

    Fridge Freezer: Zanussi
Built-in double oven: Bosch or Electrolux
    Hob: Bosch or Electrolux
    Washing Machine: Bosch

They're probably all entry level items I was looking at. I've been told that Bosch are good and worth the extra money, is that true?

    Recommendations welcome folks!

i would say Bosch is definitley worth the money -i have a bosch tumble dryer still going strong after 12 years. However i also had an extremely cheap washing machine (Servis) that lasted 15 years. Replaced with a Zanussi last year on my plumbers recomendation so we'll see how it holds up.

Fridge Freezer: Zanussi Don't bother,is it integrated or free standing?
Built-in double oven: Bosch or Electrolux:Bosch
Hob: Bosch or Electrolux:Doesn't really make a huge difference in hobs to be honest
    Washing Machine: Bosch:Good choice.

Don't like electrolux too much. Is it a standard four ring ceramic hob you're looking for with controls?

Do you think Electrolux stuff is bad? All my appliances are Electrolux except the dryer.

That said, that was mainly coz they all came with full 5 year warranties (except the hob and oven).

WRT Zanussi, it's just a name these days. None of it now seems to be anywhere remotely related to Zanussi products of old. Much of it seems to be rebadged stuff from China. I guess it's Electrolux's budget brand.

Did you pay extra for the full five year parts and labour or do you mean 5 year parts?

Nah, it was an Electrolux promotion at the time. It's 5 years P&L.

what ever you do stay away from the " leisure" brand fridge freezers, we got an american style one about two years ago and it has already stopped working

Leisure no longer do fridge freezers or even exist as a brand, the American Fridge Freezers are under Beko now,and are supposed to be very good.

All she does is read out ads. on the radio accompanied by nice music, does she add any value as far as the punter is concerned?
