Could be a number of things. Dirty diesel or blocked filter would spring to mind in a diesel. However you would need to do further investigations to be sure.:p

What are the symptoms excatly. Does it just happen when the car is warmed up or when you put your foot down on the accelerator?

There could be a number of simple reasons for your engine losing power.

Diesel Filter changed, no engine light on, no black smoke absolutly no warning just at any time the engine loses power. Can be after start up, in the middle of a long journey any time really. The only thing I have noticed is that in the wet weather it does seem to happen more often.
Also the engine keep the revs up but no power, foot to the fller at 2500 revs and the car struggling to move!!!!!
