If you could own one microphone, and one mic only... what would it be?

Virtually indestructable, an all-rounder... I just didn't want to be the first to say it!

Whilst it is not my first preference live, I never leave home without one.

    Whats the budget?

I think a great all rounder would be the Rode NT1A. Its cheap/Reliable and sounds pretty good to.

Some of the T-Bone Thomann stuff can be pretty nifty. Thinking the SC4OO, For 60 euro its a complete steal. A little toppy but you can eq that out.

Sorry to throw an iron in the fire here, but there isnt one to do it all :)

At a push a Beta 58 if I had to chose only owning one :( just for that added hi end ;)

    or a Beyer M201 or a Neumann U47 or a Royer ***** or a :)
