Sharing a scanner

    I've been trying to share an Epson usb printer/scanner on a small Mac network, using 'device sharing' in Image Capture. I cant seem to get the client machines to 'see' the shared device at all. I'm running Tiger Server (10.4.11). Now when I try sharing it via a MacBook running Leopard, the shared device shows up no problem. I cant upgrade the whole system to Leopard as the client machines are old Q/S G4's with 733 MHz processors. And our budget is long gone, so cant buy Leopard Server for the server till next year at least. Using the lappy as a stop-gap measure is ok for now, but i'd like to share it via the server if possible. Anyone out there have any experience with this?
