Was looking for somewhere in South Dublin or Dublin City that is free to rent or has a function room that is free to rent. I know Rosies is free to rent the function room but unfortunately I can't get there and The Turk's Head in town is free aswell but again, same problem. Anyone got any ideas? Please bear in mind its an 18th so it'll be a young enough crowd.

    Cheers
(Mods if this is in the wrong forum, feel free to move it)

Baker's Corner pub in Deansgrange has a pretty decent function room upstairs. Not sure if it's free to hire, though - maybe give em a bell on 2807782 to check?

You really shouldn't be paying any rent for a room these days. The pub should be bending over backwards if you can bring in a pile of customers for them. They will often provide free finger food or similar.

Just thinking, if it's for an 18th, presumably there'll be a few invitees under the legal drinking age? They may have an issue with a load of 16 and 17 year olds on the premises after 6pm or whenever...
