    Hi All,
Long time reader, first time poster in motors.

    I've a 2008 Skoda Octavia 2

I've done a fair bit of searching on this to no avail.
The battery in my 3-button remote died so I replaced it.
Now it won't open/ close the car.
    The red light works.

I've tried putting the working key in the ignition.
Locking with the 'new' key mechanically.
    Pressing the lock button.
    Waiting...
Pressing again (I tried double pressing as well).

I've tried it swapping the keys...

Is that the right process or is that for older models?

Any help would be much appreciated as the missus gives me a right talking to for getting it wrong ;-)

    Cheers for any help

Afraid I can't help, but have you tried searching on http://briskoda.net/ ? Sure if it's possible, it will be on there.

That's the technique I was trying....
I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.
I'm going to see what I can get from Briskoda as well.
    Cheers lads
