getting to the DSPCA by bus

was hoping to get down and have a look at the shelter some time during the week. ive been looking at the dublin bus website and the 74a goes down Stocking lane,but thier doesnt seem to be a stop on the road. can anyone tell me how far away the bus stop is from the mount venus road...........looks a good hours walk. I suppose if I asked the driver nicely he could let me off,but the problem would be trying to get back.
