    Question 1: I know this seems like a bit of stupid question and a bit trivial, but I'm already annoyed about a different technical fault with my phone! Is it normal for the earphones that come with the phone to only work in the jack in the phone because they make speech very low and any background music very loud when I use them in the earphone jack in my laptop. If it's not, then I'll just send them back when the phone goes back (which hopefully will be tomorrow or the next days).

    Question 2: My phone has to go back because there's something wrong with the speaker, it was like that when I took it out of the box on Saturday and it's going back in a few days via UPS. What are people's experiences with returns? Will I be phone-less until such a time that they get it fixed and back to me? I was in such a flap on the phone to them that I never asked :(

    Try pulling the headphone jack out a little bit. There's an extra bit compared to standard headphones for the mic and volume controls
    Afaik apple will send ya out a refurb as soon as they gets yours back

    My experience of them is that their turn around time for items sent back is very quick. My own experience is that they offered to replace my ipad but when they checked it they said it was fine and returned it to me. I sent it Monday,they checked it Tuesday and it was delivered back to me at 9pm by ups on Wednesday night.
