Not really. I'm selling to buy a systema M4. What gun were you interested in anyway?

It is beautifully camouflaged by a good friend of mine. He does it for 75 euros. Each gun takes him 8 hours to do as he has to spray paint it 4 times!! He is a pro! The gun is practically brand new. You think about it.

Hi. Is the LY M4 still for sale. I know this post is going back a bit. Is it compatible with Systema gear as well? Mags and the like.

It's not compatible with systema M4. I have a systema and they are not in the same league at all. Training weapon's internal setup is comparable to the systema in that the upper receiver flips up away from the lower receiver and the gear box is similar in arrangement as a systema. But that's about where the similarity ends. Training weapon's spring is located in the stock barrel so it's quite easy to increase the fps by merely changing to a higher spring load. At the moment it's chronoing at 310 fps with a MOSFET installed. I only installed the MOSFET last week and believe or not I only used the gun today for the first time since I bought it! Brand new it was 340. MOSFET and fitting cost was 65 euro. So it's a 400 euro gun really. MOSFET is a really important upgrade to any gun in my mind. Read up on it. I would be selling the gun for 300 at this stage.

Thanks for the reply. Will it take a systema spring in it or is there a particular LY spring it will take? Also what brand mosfet did you use?

peter ting / mentor are you using two accounts here? Please explain.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 83 ✭✭peter ting

The reason is follows: I had tried to change my account name from Peter ting to mentor because I didn't want to use my real name. This was a mistake I made when I signed in for the very first time. I tried all avenues but couldn't figure it out. The simple thing to do was to create another account. It is as simple as that. Hope that will suffice. If you could help me I like to close Peter ting's account and maintain the mentor one please. Many thanks.

The spring is a wider diameter spring than most others. I can only assume it would be easy to find a replacement. The MOSFET is an American brand which cost $25. it has active braking but not programmable for bursts firing. It is a trustworthy & reliable MOSFET which I have in all my guns except one. You can spend up to $100 on a very sophisticated MOSFET but is there a need for it? It's up to the individual really. Hope I have answered your questions.

    Thanks for that.
For now, please stick to your peter ting account in this thread. I'll ask the admins and see what your options are.
