Ok, I know I am in the wrong here but I have gone 7240mb over my 10240 allowance (for which I am paying €19.99 per month) a 70% increase but my bill has jumped to €164.46 which is over 800% more. I am on direct debit but there is no way I am paying this as I feel that these overcharges were not properly explained to me when I signed up. Does anyone know if O2 are open to negotiion. I would be willing to pay the €34 I feel is due.

Is there any way to see your usage on O2 ...a web page showing usage to date in the month or something?? If there isn't and they never sent you warnings when you went over 10gb then you might very well have a case.

ya can keep an eye on the usage on the connection program, i think they send ya a message if ya go over, they do for phone bills anyway

OP how did ya not realize ya went so much over and tbh they will prob just tell you ya should of read the T+C's when ya signed up

You should be able to negotiate with them, however I'd be very surprised if you get anywhere near your extra €34, but I've heard of people getting it cut in half the first time they went over.

Wasn't there a new law introduced that put the onus on the provider, that they had to cut You off rather than mount up a bill or the most they could charge for overuse was a limit of €50

That new law is for data roaming only not domestic usage
