    Hi everyone,

Wondering if you can help me out. My grandfather just passed away, and as he was an avid Irish speaker, we would like to say a few words "as Gaeilge" at his funeral. Unfortunately none of us are as good at speaking it as he was!

We were thinking of saying something like "may he rest in peace; until we meet again" - could anyone tell me how this translates?
Our best attempt was "Ar dheis de go raibh a hanam, go dtige sin aris" (with the fadas in - don't know how to type them!!)

    Go raibh maith agat ;)

    This is what you want

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam go dtí go gcasfaimid ar a chéile aríst

I'd suggest 'Suaimhneas síoraí dó, go dtí go gcasfaimid arís'.
