Hi, I'm new to this forum, but really need some help. I would love a hat for the winter time, nothing fancy or expensive - I'm a student. My problem is that I have a big head! most hats tend to just perch on the top - never a great look:eek:

Any suggestions where I can look for one?

Have you tried Evan's? Not sure if they do them but I would guess if anywhere did them they would.

Also, you could try some of the men's departments. A lot of hats can be worn by both sexes.

The man who made my last hat will fit one for you. Go have a look. His contact details in this post.

I think I will be paying this man a visit soon :D

OP check out TK Maxx. They have LOADS of hats in now, it could be a case of just trying and testing!

I'm the same as you OP I have a massive head and big hair- I just get my hats in mens departments- unless you want fancy twiddly bits (which I SO don't!!) you'll get stuff to fit. New Look I find especially good, some of the pennys wooly hats are freakin TINY.

And if you do want twiddly bits get the hat you want and go mad in Trimmings- that was no-one has the same hat as you- WIN!

Speaking of twiddly bits I should have made clear that my above contact makes womens hats; trilbys, pillboxs, closhes yadda yadda yadda.
It's the mens hats there that are a rarity :).

So glad someone made this thread. I can only get hats to fit from Topman or a vintage black men's trilby I got in Berlin.

I hate this 'one size fits all' lark, they don't do it for clothes, heads vary too!

if you want a wooly hat, River Island do some cute ones that are a very good size

I have never found a "one size fits all" that actually fit my head, very frustrating.
