Does anyone know what Aeg has the highest ROF standard? has their been any tests done on a chrono of a few rifles on a standard battery like 9.6V to get the highest rps in the same conditions. Any experience or knowledge appreciated.

The G&P Magpul Custom AEGs will most likely have the highest ROF, due to their high speed motor & gear set up. But it's not something that is actively measured for cross comparison by retailers. If you're looking for high ROF as standard, you're looking at Tokyo Marui High Cycle series, or G&P guns - s'all to do with their motor & gear set configurations.

For example, the clones are known for being high FPS and cheap - as such they usually have high torque motors. But Tokyo Marui are designed for use <1joule, so with their High Cylce range, they're giong to be pretty optimal for ROF in our airsoft legislation.

    Hope this helps :)

Best bet is G&P with their high speed m120 motors. Nobody really compares the rates of fire.

And 9.6v isnt the standard battery. 8.4 is. With an 8.4, my g&p xm16 put out 25 rounds a second with the m120 motor. So there's a benchmark.

All high ROF does for you is make you run out of ammo faster. There are better things to chase in an AEG, like air seal efficiency or the effectiveness of ones choice in hop rubber, etc.

Nice thing about ROF, is that trigger response usually increases with it

@Inari- That makes sense about the clones being slower due to their original power.
@Firekitten- Will have to use a G&P now heard how good they and 25 rps thats fast:)
@Lemming- Dont worry got rid of my GR-300 due to the speed it put out bbs just curious was their any recognised as the quickest.

    Thanks for all the input:)
Anyone know what the kwa m4 puts out?

    Fastest i've seen was 45 rps...lasted about 10 mins...then exploded

Anything over 20-25 rps is overkill to be honest

Problem comes when you pull the trigger for less than a second and hit a guy with 20 bbs...the accusations of overkilling will then fly back at you:o

All running on 8.4v 2200mAh, using 0.2g bbs.

(2009) King Arms VLTOR M4 VIS Carbine - 18 rps
    (2007) G&P SR-16 URX (changed spring to <1 joule) - 23 rps
    (2000) Classic Army M15A2 - 19 rps

    Hope this helps.
