Annoying facial hair around the chin

Can anyone offer me advice on shaving facial hair around the chin. It might be my razor blades that I use, disposable Tesco razor blades with just 3 blades on the razor, but I always struggle to get the facial hair around my chin and end up constantly with prickly bits still there even after a shave or I end up cutting myself around the chin when I try desperately to get rid of the prickly hair.

Just hate facial hair, prickly bits are the most irritating. Nah i don't want a bread, can't grow one anyway.

Splash out and get a proper hot towel shave, if you like the results perhaps try imitating them at home.

    1. Stop using ****e cheap disposables and buy a decent double-edge razor (look at www.shaving.ie). Once you have made the initial investment in the razor itself, the blades are even cheaper than disposables and you can get 3 or 4 shaves out of each one.
    2. Shave once with the grain of your beard, lather again and then shave across it with the lightest touch you can manage. Disposables have no weight and you have to hold them against your face, which means you risk shaving burn, whereas if you have a metal safety razor the weight of the razor itself does all the work and you need not, and should not, put even the slightest pressure on it.
    3. If you are still not happy with the result, lather a third time and shave against the grain. However this has the highest risk of razor burn and a rash, so be really careful about not putting pressure on the razor.
    4. Run a wetted alum block over where you have shaved (optional) and use an after-shave soother with glycerine in it (also optional). But if you don't use a soothing lotion some kind of moisturiser is essential. Don't put after-shave on those parts of your face and throat; you might as well use poitín or petrol. Splash the after-shave on parts of your neck where you don't shave.

I would seriously advise against waxing your facial hair.
