Stainless Steel Water Cylinder

    Hi

I am looking at purchasing a stainless steel hot tank as i have slightly hard water which is eating my copper cylinders!

I was told that all the S/S tanks actually have Copper Coils. Is this true? Is it possible to replace the coils if they start to leak. There is a large opening on top of the tank, so i could get the coil out if needed. What i need to know is it easy to get a replacement coil?

Also the coils are only 1/2 pipe. Is this ok if i am to connect a Stanley range cooker to one of them? All the copper tanks that i ever fitted had a 3/4 inch coil.

I was considering buying a large twin coil tank so that in the future i could connect a stove to the lower coil. Any opinions appreciated.

Also any ideas what i would be paying for a 300l dual coil?
And is 304 grade stainless ok for the job or am i wasting my time due to the hard water??

No , most stainless cylinders have stainless steel coils, ie Joule, Telford, Grant cylinders etc

i would suggest water treatment to solve the problem housewide!
Sure will cost you up to maybe 1200 euro tops but worht it if your water is that bad.
