Do you think I could transfer into Media Arts now?

Im an Irish student who did the 2010 LC but I ended up going to London to study practical media, thinking it was the best choice for me. But I hate it here, and Ive hated it since day 1. It hasnt got any better.
I feel really depressed and unmotivated to do any work here. I applied to do Media Arts in DIT, but it was my second choice. I got my first choice in DCU.

Ive emailed media@dit.ie a few days ago requesting if they would condiser me to move in to Photography, as thats my passion. But they havent replied yet. However, I think it would be better if I could switch to Media Arts as my course here in London is pretty much the same thing, making the transfer easier.
However I'm not sure whether to send them another email asking to switch to Media Arts. What do you guys think? Would they be more willingly if I asked to transfer to Media Arts as the course is like this one in London?

Also, what do you guys know of Irish colleges accepting transfers? Have you had any experience? Technically it hasnt even been 2 months? Or is it very rigid and all through the CAO? That seems unfair.

Also, do any of you know how I could specifically email Dr. Brian O'Neill as he his head of Media Arts. I get the feeling that the general Media email address doesnt get checked too often.
Thanks in advance for any help :)

I would try ringing the admissions office rather then emailing a faculty. You might have better look with them and discuss your situation and they might be able to advise you. If they offer no help then go to the faculty I woud reckon.

Dont quote me on that though I would wait for another response to back me up.
