The 40 Foot Set C&C

    Hi folks,

I hit the forty foot last Saturday morning and took some snaps. First proper landscape attempt really although it was more of a reccy mission.

Anyway I'd be interested in any thoughts, what works, what doesn't
(please ignore the smudges that are on on the filter in some shots. I know they are really annoying).

    Taken with a D60 and 18-200mm lens.
A graduated filter (didn't do much, think I'll invest in a darker one).
I've done some minor tweaks in Lightroom (LR presets and crop only).

    Things I'd do differently:
    - I'd get up earlier and not be in as much of a rush. The light changes sooo quickly and you need to be prepared.
    - I'd also clean my filters before and during. It's amazing what the filters and lens gather from the sea air.
    - Head down beforehand (possibly even without a camera and plan what shots I'd like to take).

    Much appreciated,
    Willy.

Nice but you should do something about the dirt/scratches, kind of ruin the pictures.

/Edit - sorry just read your OP there now, download Gimp and remove the dust spots using it.

Love the shots. Especially the last one.
The third I think shows a little too much of the silhouetted rock on the right making the figure too central but other than that I really like them.

Numbers 2 and 5 for me are spectacular.

edit : sorry can't be more help criticism wise, feel like a pure innocent photography wise myself :S
But these are the 2 I'd go for.

Love the colour of the first one. Think the third one has too much of the rock on the right hand side which hampers the image a little, and I think the fifth image is my favourite.

Overall I think they're some lovely shots!

Out of curiousity, where the hell is that place? Seems to be a favourite location of el Boardsies, and I see it pop up a few times, and the images always seem to look nice.
