    It's illegal to record a telephone conservation unless at least one of the parties gives consent.

    To bug someone elses home you'd have to get into it.

    Breaking into a home while carrying tools which could be interpreted as weapons means the judge could send you away for a very, very long time if they decide to throw the book at you.
