What do you need the jeep to do? Off road, towing or carrying people? I'm a big fan of japanese 4x4's having owned an old pajero and currently the proud owner of a landcruiser. Both or no good to you with bigger engines than you want, but would have to recommend the suzuki vitara. the XL7 is LWB and can carry 7 people in comfort. also reliable and has a 2.0 td engine. Also, vitara's are well noted for their off road ability compared to other soft-roaders on the market.

Anyway, best of luck with the hunt!

+1 commercial insurance dont really care , and neither does commercial tax, also a large vehicle with a smaller engine will be worse on fuel consumption when you put a load into it, for instance I have an isuzu d-max 3.0 , there is a 2.5 available but the 2.5 is a little underpowered for the vehicle and if you put a heavy trailor or big load on the 3.0 will do better on fuel

When you put a load on it...what about when its not loaded...2litre is the way to go man.
Unless your vat reg'd or a farmer...whats the point in having a commercial and paying private tax....
