Yep, it is a lot easier on other forums as there is generally less threads and a higher quality as a result so that your time isn't wasted.

I think the OP is talking about the list of threads when you go into a forum (AH etc) and not actual threads?

Which is why I think an 'instant' notification of new threads would a cool feature to be able to select, when subscribing to forums, rather than just be limited to the current 'one a day' and 'once a week' options.
