Hi, I was wondering if you can still get the grant even though you've already paid the capitation fee + tuition fee for the first year?
And also, do they give out grants if you apply for it on your second year?

The applications for the Grant close on 31st of December. You can still apply. If you get Full fee's and Maintainence you will get you're fee's refunded by cheque (on proof that you are actually attending college).

Also it doesn't matter if your in 2nd year and haven't applied before. Obviously income levels can change between years of college so you should have no problems.

Be prepared to declare and prove all your earnings (p21, p60) etc etc
