New Exhaust

Im thinking about changing just my stock back box with a new back box with a 4 inch tip

any pros or cons to fitting one of these apart from higher fuel consumption?

TBH it wouldn't be my thing to just have the backbox changed, can't see any point in making an exhaust louder when it'll do nothing to the power of the car.

You shouldn't notice any difference in fuel consumption if you change just the backbox.

its really just to make a nice rasp and for looks really not looking for a boost in power cars a ball of S***E anyway

is it just a case of welding it on do you know ?

I've never had a universal exhaust but judging by the pic there's no pipework coming from the exhaust so welding will be needed.

What type of car is it for? I don't know if the noise it'll make will be a nice rasp, the cheap backboxes never sound great at all.

It wont though, it'll just give it a loud annoying drone and it will make it sound terrible, is it small engined? Small engined cars + 4 inch tipped back boxes dont end up sounding nice.

if you must change the backbox, fit a cherrybomb backbox instead.
Every second eejit youngfella has a 4 inch tipped jap can on a car because they think it's the coolest thing ever, but you'll just get a big dull boom. With a cherrybomb it wont look as silly, and will be more raspy, with pops and bangs as standard ha ha.

Dont put a universal back box on, it will look and sound terrible, I have an large exhaust on my car and TBH honest its annoying, I much prefer the way it pops and burbles than the full out loudness. A loud exhaust on a sunny is just asking for trouble with the Gaurds
