Garmin Nuvi 300 upgrade - any point?

    Hi,

    I have had a Nuvi 300 for 3 years or so and was wondering is there any point in upgrading this. I have access to the most up to date maps so that would not be my motivation.

    What advantages would a more up to date sat nav offer me over my existing one? Has there been a big advance in technology in the last 3 years?

    I would not be in the market for a top of the range one, just a basic enough model.

    What you would be looking at really is extra features.
    TomTom have just released live services in Ireland including
    Live Traffic, Weather, Google Search other than services like that the technology has not changed much.
