we've had the same analogue aerial in the house for years and we were able to pick up all the english channels and e4 etc.... the picture would be and good and bad.. but we asked a guy to install a new digital aerial so that the freeview channels would come through better and now the english channels dont come through at all. only the irish ones....

is it possible the guy is setting the aerial to block english freeview? he is to come back soon but i would like to quiz him when he does......

also our freeview tuner is built into our tv.

    cheers

There is no such thing as a digital aerial!
    See

You need a Freeview HD tuner or a FreeviewHD Setbox for Irish and N.I. Digital TV. Even if you don't want HDTV and even though there is no HD in N.I. till 2012.

    Maybe he isn't finished.
