    im looking for some reccomendations as to some interesting articles/ books etc on the operation of the special criminal court. any titles or authors would be appreciated.

    Have you considered talking to Dessie O'Malley? He was the Minister for Justice in 1972 when the court was introduced in modern times. I'm sure he'd have no problem talking to you if you're doing bona fide research. He's retired now from full time politics and makes the occasional contribution to historical programmes on RTE TV.

    It looks like someone has beaten you to it if you're thinking of writing a book, someone called Fergal F Davis, mentioned at the foot of this article.....
