Myself and my brothers going to get the folks a golden years break for Christmas.Thought I saw a deal in the Irish Times a few days ago for 3BB,3D for €299 all in but cant remember were it was for.Is there any good deals out there within 2 hours drive from Louth?Midweek or weekend would both be fine.

I did see an ad for a "3-night Connemara Christmas Residential Package for 399 euro per adult. Phone 095 21699 or wwwclifdenhouse.com for details." Other readers may have spotted more offers.

www.clifdenhouse.com is a hotel in Dublin??Do you mean Clifden Station House? Thanks but its a bit far.....and pricey!!
Looking for a January or February break for the two of them not too far from Louth.I've googled but there doesn't seem to be a lot of offers out there at the moment.

You are quite right. It should have read Clifden Station House.

Hillgrove Hotel, Monaghan has Golden Holiday offers which are more reasonable.
