    Hi,
I have a leak in my engine - Ford Focus. Went to mechanic and cant see where its coming from as a lot of oil in the engine.
Can anyone recommend a place(s) that can clean engine and/ or also fix / detect where the leak is from. Anywhere in Dublin (southside preferably).

    Cheers

A sure way to trace where it's leaking from would be to leave a sheet of cardboard underneath it overnight.

Depending on the model, they can leak from the power steering and driveshaft seal.

Well its a 03 5 door SE Zetec 1.4l Petrol - I havent much knowledge of cars so not sure the carboard idea will help me much as I dont know what is where in the engine.

Could you recommend anywhere to get it fixed?

why is the engine all covered in oil?
you can clean this pretty easy yourself.. just buy some engine cleaner in any auto parts shop.... just spray on and very little wiping required.

Can you not trace fresh oil stains on engine block to point of leak?

Can you describe what rate it is leaking at/for how long/ do you regularly put oil in engine to top up etc????

are you sure the oil is not transmission fluid leaking from gear box where drive shaft's connect to it?

They rearly leak oil but when they do is mostly from the rocker cover.
