The teeth of a zip on my jacket are broken and I am wondering if I can take the coat to a cleaners for a new zip to be fitted.

    1) Where on the northside of Dublin does this?
    2) Would I need to buy the new zip and bring it to the cleaners?

I'm not sure if cleaners replace zips?

You'd be better to bring it to somewhere that does alterations and they'll replace it for you.

The other option is to go into a fabric shop, somewhere like Hickey's, buy a zip and replace it yourself. It's not too difficult, but can take a little time if you're not used to sewing.

Some cleaners also do alterations. They will supply the zip and charge accordingly.

They have a place in Abbey Street.
