Hey Guys, was just wondering if anyone can direct me to a good guitar technician in the midlands. I've got a pair of Tele's that need repair sharpish and I'd rather save myself the hassle of heading up to Dublin. I need a new nut put in one, a pickup repair and action/intonation setup in the other and the wiring redone in both.

I had some great work done by Dave Travers in Maynooth a few years back but I can't find his Myspace and I don't have his number anymore...

    Any suggestions???

    Cheers!!!

Oh, I'm based in Mullingar. :D:D:D

Cheers, man, but I got sorted out much closer to home. Cork would be a bit of a trek for me. Found a place called Acoustagraph Electronics in Lanesboro about 45 mins from Mullingar. The bassist in my band is from over that direction and got me on to them. The gent there does amp repairs and has a guy come in to fix instruments. Delighted with both guitars and he only charged me 90 quid for the lot which I got back after three working days. Gonna drop my Bassman over to him for a service next as he seems to know his stuff about vintage amps. Just watch out for his feckin dog!

Their's a good one in Navan as well good on the wood side, makes fiddles etc. Not sure if he does electrics but got my 1958 piece restored with him, was in two pieces. He's tidy with the timber.

Is that place beside O'Mahony's pitch? ? Think I remember driving past a shop near there with guitars in the window awhile back. If that's the lad I'll keep him in mind the next time i need work done!

No the guy lives up in Ardbrackin of the coolefore road, his name is yan mallart. Works out of a small workshop beside his house. I'll dig his no. out if you can't find it.
