Check If Anyones Using Our Home Network?

    I want to see if anyones using our wifi but we dont have access to the router, the guy who owns it has it in his room and hes changed the default password, I still remember something that let you see how many pcs were on a network and their names and\or MAC adresses though, thats all I need really. Any easy way of checking that? Thanks.

    the info is usually on the web page of the router but ...

    use wireshark to look at the traffic

    there are smaller sniffers out there to just capture mac's but not too sure of which ones work with windows

    if they have a decent firewall there is no point in searching for them

    If you do a network sweep, you should be able to find out how many systems are on the network. Download nmap - and run "nmap -sP 192.168.0.1/24" (or whatever the equiv subnet is for your network).
