Steel Plinth

    Im looking for a steel plinth on which to sit a wood-burning stove. Approximate dimensions are 1000mm X 1200mm and Id need no more than 2mm thick steel.
    (Please note that the floor is non-combustible and that the plinth is for effect only).

    Try Ferrum in Baldoyle for the basic sheet, they should be able to tell u who might cut it for you. http://www.ferrum.ie/

    IMO 2 mm will be v difficult to lay flat

    @Carlow52 - Thanks muchly for that link!

    They do a 2000mm x 1000mm x 3mm plate that might be the dogs......

    All I'd need is somebody to cut it and bevel the edge....and I think I may know the place :-)

    You could use stainless. Easy clean etc. Shortt Stainless have a place in Dublin too I think.
