ACCA - What's your study regime?

Just wondering how everyone goes about studying for exams? I'm doing P5 and P7 through classes. In class 2 nights every week, try study for about 2 hours the other week nights, taking Friday evening off.

Then on weekends, at the moment I get about 5 hours each day although my mind often wanders so its probably more like 3!

I'm mainly reading through notes and book (for audit) at the moment then will start firing through questions.

    Sooo...what's your study routine?

Well your post has just upset me!!! I'm in practice at the moment, it's my first time in practice for tax return season. My study plans have gone right out the window, I've done feck all! I've passed the first 6 with flying colours and I'm tackling the last three in fundamentals in December. I was committed to studying a couple of hours each evening but it just isn't happening.

I'm doing home study, with revision weekends, I may be going to the revision weekends without a clue though.

On the bright side, I get 3 weeks study leave, I'm hoping to cram as much as I can into that. I'll be locked in a quiet room 24/7 with short breaks for junk food.

Well that's where you have one up on me, I get hardly any study leave, will only have the week before the exams and the week of the exams off so trying to keep on top of it.

What will probably happen is that when I start to go through questions I will realise that nothing went in at all!

It is my final 2 exams and I am at the stage that I hate the whole thing but trying to do as much as I can so I won't have to repeat!

FunkSoulSista, I know exactly how you feel. I've been sitting ACCA exams off and on since 2001 and I'm finally down to my last one (P4, first re-sit after failing it in June).

My regime is similar to yours but I find the weekend extremely difficult to concentrate but then again, it's only 5 weeks until it's hopefully all over!

I wish I could be as focused as you.. Funksoulsister!!
I'm sitting F8 and P1.. and am way behind. I do an hour at lunch everyday and 3 hours on a Sat.. I'm teaching myself.
Finding it tough this time as I'm 3 months pregnant with my 2nd.. and have had all day sickness and tiredness for the past 2 months!!!:(

Beginning to feel bit better to have to get stuck in from this weekend!!
