Hi ,I hope you can help me..turned on my laptop today and "smart defragmenter"came up saying my hard disc is compromised and its a "crital error" it tells me a hard drive scan is required and when i do that it comes up with "pay 70 dollars to fix the problem" is this a scam and if so is there an easy way to fix it.. after a while it just shuts down the laptop. never had an issue with it before and i have avg anti virus(free version). what on earth could it be, ive recently let my young lad play kids games on the laptop and i wonder could he have pressed some buttons to cause this. im at a loss so if anyone knows what i could do to fix it,i would be extremely grateful..dont really want to spend 100 euro to have it fixed in a shop.

    thanks again

run f secure on line scan

remove all the $hit in your laptop

this would be the first thing to do

you also need to run malware as pointed out

your computer is shagged with viruses and trojans
