"Swap will be more" Ads - your opinion

Has anyone noticed this trend lately?

The number of ads on DD where the seller is open to a trade, but offers a cash price + a higher swap price seems to be very common these days?

    Whats your opinion on this?

My opinion is to dismiss the seller as an assh*le wannabe car trader. I would'nt even consider a call if I see this on an ad.
Surely the buyer is taking as much of a risk as the seller in such swaps, as its still a private sale, caveat emptor, etc..?

It seems like a reasonable premise to me, cash is king and the convenience of it is recognised in terms of value.

But, for any car ad I've seen something like this on, the seller has hugely overestimated the value of what is usually some piece of tarted up crap. They believe that they can leverage the fact that it has "€25,000" worth of halfords bits super glued to the side into somehow getting a car worth owning. Any car ad I've seen this on usually belongs in the dreamers of the year thread (actually that's probably where I've seen such ads :)).
