Looking to get a bottle for a graduation on Friday, whats the best place to look for one? Ive found it in Superquinn in Blackrock for 137, anywhere that would do it cheaper?

I am also looking to get a wooden case for it, but want to get it personally designed on the front, just to say congrats on the gradutation. Anyone able to help me on this one?

    Thanks, really appreciate any help!

Found it for €120 in Fine Wines. As for the case, do you know a carpenter who could make one for you? Perhaps one who makes cabinets etc who would be able to put some nice designs on it?

I know there is a place just next to Trinity that specialises in things like pipes and engraving but dunno if they would do this, think its called Foxes??

Here are their locations in Ireland

I'm not from Dublin so can't help you with your query regarding Foxes.

There's also a few wine / champaign specialists just off Grafton Street.

Berry Bros on Harry Street (just opposite Bruxelles) and The Corkscrew on Chatham Street might be good bets. Though I cannot be sure of the prices on DP there.

Berry Bros on Harry Street (just opposite Bruxelles) .

closed a year or so ago and I don't think the corkscrew have Dom Perignon.
it's not on their website, but the excellent Veuve Clicquot, La Grande Dame 1998 is, and it's fantastic.

Would you believe I work on the opposite side of Grafton Street, and never realised it closed! :o

These do Personalised Wine boxes so maybe contact them to see if it will fit a champagne bottle or they might actualy do one ...

If you use a straw it can go straight to your head.

I'd recommend a champagne flute instead.

Ok so i got this sorted and can give a bit more feedback.

Mitchell & Son had a 2002 bottle for 143.99. It had no box but did have a wooden one to fit in. However I was looking for the 2000 bottle, and there was no reduction for the 2002 bottle and there is no comparison between the two; 2000 is far better according to what I find online.

There was another wine store in the IFSC up near the Marks and Spencers and NCI but they did not stock it. However they did recommend others; cant remember name but may have just been The Wine Store.

Went to the Corkscrew, and while they did not have the stock of Dom Perignon in at the moment, the chap I was speaking with was incredibly knowledgeable; able to recommend where to get it and describe it, this guy really, really knew his stuff. If you ever have a spare moment in town, head into him (On Chatham street just off Grafton street) and im sure not only will you get an education in wine, but find some absolutely cracking deals in there. Highly recommended.

Finally, found exactly what I was looking for in Celtic Whiskey Store; 2000 bottle, fabulous display box (Dom Perignon specific box) for 139.99. This place was recommended by the Corkscrew and a guy in the second IFSC wine shop, so highly recommended. Great stock here as well.

This is the one I got:

Thanks to those who recommended around town :)
