Stick them to your naked body and take a picture, then post that picture on boards so we can laugh with you (at you). Or just bring them to a children's charity, I'm sure they'll find some use for them.

Give them to a charity shop....SV de P or similar?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,995 ✭✭✭Sofiztikated

    Obvious.

Get a van. Drive down to the park. Offer the sweets to the waiting childers.

Don't see anything wrong with that plan.

Wife and I have a ton of the stuff.
Probably will end up giving it away to relatives.

"trick or treating" must be on the way out....brought my 7yo daughter around to the few houses in our area last night, she was the only child that called to any of the houses.....pity really, because the kids used to love getting dressed up for it

we made up 20 goody bags, getting very organised this year, and not 1 person rang our door bell. newt door to us had 8 pumpkins in their garden, and they got heaps of visitors. we're going to hold on to them for a month now, and bring them to the nieces and nephews in kerry.

Dont forget to write "Free Sweets!" on the side of the van!

Aw thats terrible! Took my little 4 and 1/2 year old out last night trick or treating. We skipped houses that had no lights on at all, everyone else we knocked at. Had you any decorations up at all?

Not too sure about these chocolate covered lollys. Why would the chocolate be outside the wrapper?

Myself and the OH were disgusted looking at Fat Families one night, so we decided to buck the trend and give some of the heavier kids on our estate healthy snacks, peanuts, museli bars, rasins etc while giving the normal sized ones sweets and chocolate.
They may not have been too happy about it, but concerning their health, I think we have done them a small favour.
One fatty kid even had the cheek to ask for a Fun sized Mars bar instead of his packet of rasins, just because his normal sized friends got Mars bars.
    The cheek.

That's a pretty awful thing to do to a kid. "Here, you get the raisins because I think you're fat but your friend gets the tasty chocolate because I think he's healthier." Why not just buy healthy stuff for all the kids instead of judging who should get what? Honestly man, if you'd have done that to my kid we'd be having words.

Way to discriminate. Just give the tubby kid his Mars, and let his mammy worry about his colestrol.

He had a big Dunnes stores bag of sweets, he was struggling to carry, the sweat was pouring down his face washing all the face paint away, I think that by giving him some of his 5 a day he will be better for it.

    Give them to this person

I was really looking forward to having left over sweets, and the little bastards cleaned us out. So anyone with leftovers - I'd be happy to take them off your hands. Give me a PM to arrange collection.

I'm not saying you were wrong for giving him a healthier treat, I'm saying you were wrong for giving his mate a Mars bar right in front of him.

I bet there's loads of these left anyway.

Those things are the most hateful and foul tasting things I've ever come across.
    It's like eating perfume.
I removed them from those multi-packs we bought.
If it's not good enough for me or my kids, I won't foist them onto anyone else.

I'd actually love to see the look on the face of the person who works in the charity shop as you handed in the sweets. Just what oxfam need for their famine or natural disaster appeal. A bag of mini crunchies.

throw them at other cars on the M50, slowly, one by one

You ate about 50 lollipops already?

Why don't you keep them until next Hallowe'en?

Bring them along to a boards beers?

Give them to your bf to bring to the local primary school?

    Lots of ideas...

Make cakes out of the left over fruit, Apple Pie

Anyone hand out nuts or nut based products?, somebody warned me against it, something about kids having eppy's in my garden. As a result I've loads of snack-sized Snickers bars in my house. I'll probably use them to put on some winter-pounds to keep warm and jolly during the festive season.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,491 ✭✭✭thebostoncrab

We had so many people call to the house that the misses needed to do a sweet run to Tesco, and even then they kepy coming!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,417 ✭✭✭Archeron

I bought a full 48 unit box of lion bars and only gave out about 10. A chocolatey evening awaits.

One of the girls in work also brought in loads of stuff that she had left over too, so I've spent the morning eating Barney the Dinosaur chocolate bars. They are surprisingly nice and have a really cool 3D chocolate Barney carved into them.
