06 S-Max Cold Start Problem??

Hey guys, the last two mornings I've had this problem with my 2.0Tdci S-Max Titanium

Yesterday morning at 05.20 I was heading out for work and the car wouldn't start. It ticked over fine but wouldn't start, tried to roll it back on the drive & Bump-Start to no avail

Started on the 3rd/4th attempt. It wasn't that cold yesterday around 7- 10 degrees

Same problem this morning but it was much colder, around 4 degrees. Only tried it twice as I didn't want to run down the battery and i'm car pooling so I let the other guy drive

Only bought the car last week from main ford dealer, going to give him a buzz this evening.

Any ideas on what this could be? Does a modern diesel engine still use glow-plugs (i've no idea really)

    Thanks

    Probably the battery.

Really? The engine seems to be turning over though just not "sparking"?
