    Hi All,

    Basically, broke my remote couple of weeks ago and have been using buttons on the side of tv to navigate.

    My son has been playing around with them (hes only 1 and a half) but they seemed fine tonight when I turned on the TV. The picture was off (was 16:9, just middle of screen), so I tried to use side buttons to change the picture properly, it took me to the menu and changed the language to something crazy, then the buttons simply stopped working altogether. I couldnt even turn the tv off. So I powererd off from socket and turned it back on, power button wont work (but red light on).

    I tried fixing up a universal remote control and while it turned the tv on, I cant do anything (as side buttons dont work and remote doesnt work properly - tried all codes!) . .

    Any advice would be appreciated . .

    Sounds like it'd be easier to get a new one.
