    Hi guys,

Have been watching myself get out of shape for the last while and finally want to start doing something about it. Did TKD for a good few years and dabbled in a good few other disciplines and would like to get back into it. However, at the moment, it doesn't suit to try and get to a club with irregular work hours and a very young new addition to the family. I was initially going to get a free standing frame to put a kickboxing bag up in my garden (rented property so I doubt they want me to attach it to the walls) but then I thought if I was going to do that, I may as well get something with a bit more functionality.

I was looking at something like this thing but it wouldn't be EXACTLY what I was looking for

but I know very little about these machines other than how to hit the bags :)

So if anyone has any advice about what to get or what to avoid, I'd appreciate your thoughts on it?

    Cheers!

2 bolt holes won't freak your rented overlords out too much.
That thing looks hideous. Just buy a bag and a little bracket i'm sure your landlords are not that sad

That looks like a huge waste of money. I had a steel ffabricator make me a punchbag bracket with a chin up bar on the front and two handles in the middle for a hundred buck. I can swap many types of bag easily. You can get a dip station from irish lifting for another hundred or better yet, some rings for 50 which can be hung from the chin up bar and give you even more flexibility.

I was thinking originally of getting one made but i don't know anyone who works with steel and didn't know if it'd cost more than that (construction noob here). I'd prefer to get something made to my specifications so I might go look down that route instead.

Never thought of the rings though, may steal that idea.

@digme, thanks, but the walls I'd have to put the holes in aren't mine, they belong to my two neighbours. Appreciate any input though!

I should add then, thet I used 5 big rawl bolts that will never leave the wall there sunk into.
