    Hi all
I have 2 heating sources and was told to install a non-return valve to stop the sources mixing.
Both sources have there own independent pumps on the return side, so i installed a non-return valve on the flow of one source. Now water doesnt seem to flow through it. Would putting a pump on the flow next to the valve help.

    This might sound obv...

Are you sure you have it on the flow and if so are you sure you have it non returning the right way...

If the flow is not getting through and all these conditions are correct it suggests either

1, The valve is jamed or
    2. The pressure against the valve is greater than the flow..

looking at it with logic of course.

Dont think the valve is jammed. not sure about the pressure against but all was ok till i installed this

most people fit them beside the boiler/pump for easy access, if the pump was on the return I would normally fit the nrv beside the pump to suck the valve open
