"Retina display" apps on ipad

    Hi all, I was wondering what the resolution of iphone apps updated to support retina display is like in comparisson to apps "pre" retina display?

    When the app is maximize, does it have a better resolution then before?

    Not sure if I have made myself understood with the question.

    they wont look the same on the ipad, it has 132 ppi whereas the iphone 4 has 326ppi

    I think the Op is asking if iphone apps that have been upgraded to HD will look better than non-HD versions when stretched to fit the ipad screen. Generally, iphone apps look pixelated now when stretched on the ipad

    Bicheeze, that's exactly what I am trying to find out. I understand they will still look pixelated but if I compare two apps on the ipad, one that has been upgraded to HD and other that hasn't...is there any difference? Would the "not upgraded" be more pixelated than the other one?
