Opel Corsa questions

Few questions for Corsa owners / experts:

    a) Was central locking as standard on models after 2000? I read it was, but the Corsa (2001) I have certainly doesn't have it. Is it possible the key isn't enabled for central locking?

    b) The accelerator pedal seems a bit too high for the "heel-toe" technique.. any recommendations on how to fix this?

    Thanks in advance.

My advice is don't use heel/toe - why would you want to anyway?

Have you checked all of your fuses?

As for heel and toe it takes a lot of practice but why bother?

It's a loaner car I'm taking from a garage for the weekend.. so no, I didn't check fuses.

Apologies for mentioning the heel toe technique.. after looking it up, that's not what I meant at all.

I mean the accelerator pedal is too high so I'm finding it difficult to come off the accelerator smoothly to change gears and then press it again.

I think also the problem with the pedal is I'm going from a 1.0 00 Polo to a 1.0 01 Corsa.. and the difference in gauging the pedals is fecking astonishing.

The Polo would gently accelerate as you came down on the pedal whereas the Corsa shoots off with the slightest touch of the pedal. Having had it for the weekend, I'm still finding it quite the challenge.
