Hi there!

I read a thread a few days ago where someone mentioned a book about manipluation (how to deal with it). I know someone who is being tortured by another's mind games etc and I would really like to buy this book for them. I thought of them as soon as I read this other story.

I can't find the thread and I can't remember the book name!!! I think the book 'toxic parents' may have been mentioned also although that may have been a different thread.

Sorry if I sound a bit clueless... also I know this isn't my personal issue but I would be very grateful if someone could help me help my friend.

In Sheep's Clothing: Understanding and Dealing with Manipulative People [Paperback]
George K. Simon Jr.

I found it helpful. The author goes through the different types of manipulation by using real case studies. Then he goes through the tools a manipulator uses and how to protect yourself against them.

mods, just a warning! I'm not spamming and I don't have any personal interest in the author or the website I linked to. Unfortunately the website has the awful inclusion of an "ask a psychologist" feature. But I couldn't find these articles anywhere else - they weren't even on the author's own website which is more like an advertisement for his books.
