    does anyone have an LG 42PJ550?

    trying to find out does it have mpeg4 for the irish dtt but cannot find a definitive answer from the web, their spec sheet and pdf dont seem to tell you what it has either..

    also if someone has one if they could give a run down on how good it is

    especially as regards gaming and what kind of input lag the thing has

    any buzzing coming from the panel?

    I picked up one of these for £399 in Curry's in Newry, it came down from 650 to 550 in Harvey Normans about the same time.

    Can't fault the picture quality. Very occasionally certain sound frequencies can cause a buzz from the speakers.

    Have PS3 and Wii hooked up and very happy with it for gaming.

    The other feature that really separates this from the 42PJ350 is the fact that you can play DivX movies straight from any connected USB drive. I compared the image quality of playing back downloaded movies through PS3, Wii (hacked) and straight through the TV and was happy to find that the TV tended to perform best.

    Haven't used the Freeview tuner on it so can't comment on that.

    Unless 1080p is a must for you, this TV is a steal at the price it's available for.
