Late Night Bus Service from Cork City (Nite Link?) to Bishopstown!

    Hi.

I remember back in 2002, there was a late night bus service from Cork City. I think it was called Nite Link. It used to leave the Court House on Washington Street and go to Bishopstown. I think the departarture times were 1am, 2am, and maybe even 3am.

I think the service also went to Douglas along with a few other places.

Does anyone have info on when and where this bus service operates now?

Also is it privately owned or part of Bus Éireann?

    Thanks.

    Hi Worztron,

UCC and CIT Student's Unions run a Nite Link bus service for students departing from Washington Street on Tuesday and Thursday nights.

The first one is at 1.45am, and they run every half hour until 3.15am.

It serves College Road, Dennehy's Cross, and heads out out to Parchment Square, Rossa Avenue and DeansHall in Bishopstown.

Is this the one you're thinking of?

During the Jazz Festival, Bus Eireann ran night buses to Carrigaline (serving Douglas), Midleton (serving Carrigtwohill) and Ballincollig (serving Bishopstown)

    Hi buachailldana.

So the Nite Link is ONLY for students? I am not a student.

I presume the Bus Éireann service is patchy and only held on certain occasions and not each week end?
